Catching Up

My mom has been really lax in updating my blog. I tried to do it myself, but for some reason, mom didn't want me using her computer. I don't get it!

I have been very busy over the past couple of months. On November 21st, my Uncle Christian married Aunt Angela. It was a great celebration - and even though I didn't get to stay for the whole reception, I ate lots of bruchetta and was the life of the party!

My Uncle Ivan, Aunt Andy, cousin Jojo, Uncle Joel and Grandp
a came to Laurel for Thanksgiving. We had a great time. Josephine liked pushing me around on the car at my Mama Welsh's house. - Man was the food great! I especially lov
ed the cranberry sauce and the mashed potatoes. After dinner, Jojo and I helped clean up!

We had our first winter snow in early December. I loved watching the flakes come down and trying to figure out what it was.
Mom dressed me up warmly and we got to go play!

On December 6th we celebrated my friend Sophie's 1st birthday. She actually turns 1 the day after Christmas, but she will be in Florida, so her parents had her party early. I love going to parties - lots of good food and SUGAR!! I got to visit with so many friends. And Sophie and I had a good time at the end of the evening playing with ribbons on her gifts!

We had a HUGE snow storm on December 18th and 19th. Mom was sad because they had to postpone her student's production of Mulan - but we had a lot of fun. Even though I was sick, I got to go sledding. it was a ton of fun!

We have been prepping for Christmas. Mom and Dad put a tree up in our house - and decorated it very strange. I don't understand it at all. But it is very pretty and I love all the ornaments hanging from the low branches. For some reason all of them are plastic or nice to chew on! Mom has been doing a lot of shopping. She keeps talking about presents for me! I can't wait for Christmas. We get to go to a pagent at Mama Welsh's church on Christmas Eve and then I get to see Uncle Jamie, Aunt Anne, Cecie, Uncle Joel, Grandpa, Mama Welsh, Grandma and Grandpa Drumm, Uncle Christian and Aunt Angela!!

Aloha!

In late September I traveled with my family to Hawaii. It was a LONG flight, but worth it. I got to sleep and play with everyone on the plane.

The island of Ohau is beautiful! I was there with my mom and dad, my Yaya and Daya (Grandma and Grandpa Drumm), Uncle Christian and Aunt Angela. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time with them all week. Uncle Christian had fun making towers for me to knock down. Have you seen my cool way of getting around?

Mom and Dad seemed to really like seeing the sites and the sunsets. I don't know - I was much more interested in checking out the sand. What do you mean you aren't supposed to eat it?

I got to go swimming every day. I wasn't so sure about the ocean, but I loved the pool! There were these cool steps that I could walk down and then loved to kick in the water!

Wedding in ME!

Last week we traveled to Maine for my Aunt Anne and Uncle Jamie's wedding. Instead of driving, like the rest of our vacations, we flew in an airplane! It was so much fun! I think mom and dad were hoping that I would sleep on the trip, but there was too much to look at! Watching out the window while we took off was my favorite! But I also loved walking up and down the aisles, saying hello to everyone! I did finally fall asleep with about 20 minutes to go!

Maine is a really beautiful place. The wedding was held at a house in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. My dad took some really great pics of the wedding location that you can see on Flicker. We went hiking in Acadia National Park with Uncle Jamie and Cecilia. And I got to try fish and chips for the first time. I LOVED them. Especially the sweet potato fries. My favorite vegetable in fry form, what's not to love?

I had a great time visiting with cousins Jojo and Cecilia and their friends Jacob and Maddie. They taught me a bunch of new things. I have developed my own version of crawling. Mom calls it scooting. It helps to keep up with my friends. Mom says she will post a video soon!

I got to get dressed up with my uncles for the wedding. I had a really snazzy outfit. I loved hamming it up for the camera!

Gym Play Date!

On Friday I went to My Gym with my friend Sophie. She takes classes there every week and I got to go as her guest. We had a great time playing with all the equipment.

I especially enjoyed playing in the ball pit. Aunt Veronika thinks I should come every week - maybe it could take the place of my PT! I would LOVE that!

After our class, we went to Baja Fresh for lunch. It was yummy!

My First Birthday

On Saturday, August 8th, I turned 1!! We had a great lunch with my Mama Welsh, Grandma and Grandpa Drumm, GGM, Uncle Jamie, Aunt Anne, Cecilia, Uncle Christian and Aunt Angela. Uncle Jamie and Grandpa grilled and the weather was perfect!

I got lots of fun things, but enjoyed the paper and cards most of all. Lots of toys and wonderful gifts - and Cecilia gave me a cool Caps sweater! I am all set for hockey season!

I loved it when everyone sang to me! Of course, I love all kinds of music, so that was no big surprise!

As you can see, I really enjoyed my cake. It took me a minute to figure out what it was, but boy was it tasty. Yum!

Mom says we are having a BBQ this weekend to thank everyone who prayed for me while I was in the hospital! It should be a lot of fun!

My first trip to the Beach

Last weekend we went to visit my dad's godfather, Jim, and his wife Marianne in Harvey Cedars, LBI. It was a relaxing trip and was a lot of fun! I had never been to the beach before, but always enjoy swimming and my baths, so it is no wonder that I liked playing int he bay with my dad!

When we were at the beach I enjoyed watching the waves and playing by the water's edge. I didn't like it when the water came in and splashed me though! I wasn't too sure about the sand either - it is very strange! And it didn't taste too good either.

Marianne had a bubble machine waiting for me! We had a lot of fun blowing bubbles on the deck one afternoon. It even made a huge bubble mountain! I had fun playing in the soap!

Family Celebration

On July 18th we gathered in Laurel to celebrate the lives of my great-grandmom and great-granddad. It was great to have the Whitehead clan together. We had a celebration after the service at my Mama Welsh's. Once again, everyone had steamed crabs and once again - I wasn't allowed to have any!
It was great to meet all my cousins. We did a group photo with everyone. And then all the kids had their picture taken. It was great fun!

Happy 4th of July!

"Baseball and Fireworks!"

That was the theme of this weekend! On Friday night we went to the Bowie Baysox game with a bunch of friends. I am learning about the game of baseball from my dad. I don't understand it completely, but think it looks like fun!
After the game, there were these amazing lights in the sky. I loved them! They were loud, but that didn't bother me at all because mommy had her hands over my ears! Mom tells me they happen every year at this time, and dad says sometimes more often - like when the Nationals actually win a game!

We saw a parade on Saturday. I was trying to take a nap, but the firetrucks were very loud. I got to come outside for the rest of the parade, which was a lot of fun! I can't wait until I am big enough to be part of it too! We had a cookout and played in my friend Dorothy's pool! I LOVE watermelon!

Adventures in Frenchtown

This weekend we went to visit my grandpa, aunts and uncles and cousins in Frenchtown NJ. My uncle Tim was in from Seattle and aunt Lisa was in from St. Louis. It was great to see everyone! The weather was beautiful - perfect for playing in the pool!

I had a blast with my cousins Josephine and Cecilia. They are getting so big! Josephine is very busy running around and playing with everyone! She was trying to show me how to walk, but I don't have the hang of it yet! Cecilia is enjoying eating lots of foods. She gets around really well and likes to stand up and see everything from that vantage point. I tried to get her to show me how she does it, but I couldn't catch her!

Cecilia

We had crabs for dinner on Saturday and my daddy, Mama Welsh, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Tim and Mommy picked crabs for crab cakes on Sunday. I didn't get to try the crabs, but everyone said they were great!

We had a lovely time and I can't wait to see them all again in July!

Hiking and Birthday Parties

I had a very busy week! On Monday, we went to Sugarloaf Mountain to go hiking. It was a lot of fun. I got to ride in my backpack - and gave my Daddy a great workout. We had lunch on top of the mountain - with great views - and relaxed a bit. I enjoyed looking at the trees and rocks, but especially chewing on my shoes. They are much better when they aren't on my feet!

I was really tired after all that hard work, so Daddy let me take a nap on the way down the mountain! I know Ella enjoyed herself - I can't wait to go back again!

My mommy booked this weekend full of fun stuff! On Saturday we were at the National Cathedral for a service and then went to my friend June's 2nd birthday party! It was a the splash park. We had so much fun. I kept trying to figure out where all that water was coming from and where it would go when it dissappeared! It was great!

I got to see my friends June and Sophia. They had a great time too.

We celebrated Father's Day on Sunday at my grandparents house! It was fun to cook out and see my aunt and uncle! We spoiled Daddy with a card I made him and some presents. It was a great Father's Day!
